Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
