We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and at night.
