Behold, the hypocrites seek to deceive Allah, but it is they who are being deluded by Him. When they rise to Prayer, they rise reluctantly, and only to be seen by men. They remember Allah but little. 142 wavering between this and that, [true] neither to these nor those. But for him whom God lets go astray thou canst never find any way. 143 O Ye who believe! take not infidels for friends, instead of believers. Would ye give Allah against you a manifest warranty! 144 Undoubtedly the hypocrites are in the deepest segment of hell; and you will never find any supporter for them. 145 Except for those who repent, correct themselves, hold fast to Allah, and are sincere in their religion for Allah, for those will be with the believers. And Allah is going to give the believers a great reward. 146 What can Allah gain by your punishment, if ye are grateful and ye believe? Nay, it is Allah that recogniseth (all good), and knoweth all things. 147 ۞ Allah does not love the public utterance of hurtful speech unless (it be) by one to whom injustice has been done; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing. 148 Whether you reveal any good or hide it, or pardon any evil, God is forgiving and all powerful. 149 Lo! those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers, and seek to make distinction between Allah and His messengers, and say: We believe in some and disbelieve in others, and seek to choose a way in between; 150 These: they are the infidels in very truth, and We have gotten ready for the infidels a torment ignominious. 151 But those who believe in God and His apostles and make no distinction among any of them, will be given by Him their recompense; for God is forgiving and kind. 152
