BUT FOR THOSE who of their Sustainer's Presence stand in fear, two gardens [of paradise are readied] 46 (jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 47 Having numerous branches. 48 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 49 Wherein are two fountains flowing. 50 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 51 In both of them are two pairs of every fruit. 52 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 53 They will recline upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruits of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 55 Therein are those of modest gaze, whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them. 56 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 57 [When you are promised splendours] as though [of] rubies and [of] pearls 58 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 59 Shall the recompense of goodness be other than goodness? 60 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 61 And beside them are two other gardens, 62 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 63 Dark-green in colour (from plentiful watering). 64 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 65 In both of them are two springs, spouting. 66 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 67 therein fruits, and palm-trees, and pomegranates -- 68 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 69 In the midst of these will be maidens, good and comely. 70 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 71 They are houris (maidens of Paradise), hidden from view, in pavilions. 72 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 73 Untouched before them by man or jinni - 74 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets. 76 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 77 Blest be the name of thine Lord, Owner Of Majesty and Beneficence! 78
