Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to humans, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
