The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: 'We are a gathering that will be victorious' 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 But nay - the Last Hour is the time when they shall truly meet their fate; and that Last Hour will be most calamitous, and most bitter: 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 And Our commandment is but one (commandment), as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you in the past: So is there any one who will be warned? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers, 54 in a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign who determines all things. 55
