Alshu'araa' 6 of 11
Noah's folk denied the messengers (of Allah), 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? 112 Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; 113 I will not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will be stoned." 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 So We saved him and those with him in a laden ship. 119 and drowned the others. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 122
