The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Sin! These are the verses of the Quran and the Book that makes (things) clear 1 a guidance and a glad tiding to the believers 2 who are constant in prayer and spend in charity: for it is they, they who in their innermost are certain of the life to come! 3 We have made those who do not believe in the Hereafter feel their actions appear good to them, so they wander blindly: 4 It is they for whom is the worst punishment, and they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. 5 You have received the Koran from the Wise, the Knower. 6 [Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves." 7 So when he reached it, it was proclaimed, “Blessed is he who is in the location of the fire (Moosa) and those who are close to it (the angels); and Purity is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation.” 8 O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." 9 Cast down your staff' And when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned about retreating, and did not turn back. 'Moses, do not fear, indeed the Messengers do not fear (when they are) with Me, 10 as for those who do wrong and then do good after evil, I am most forgiving, most merciful. 11 "Now place thy hand into thy bosom: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish!" [And thou shalt go] with nine [of My] messages unto Pharaoh and his people for, verily, they are people depraved!" 12 When Our miracles were visibly shown to them, they said, "It is plain magic". 13 and they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, wrongfully and out of pride. Behold, how was the end of the workers of corruption! 14
