And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 [And he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Bestow upon me the gift of [a son who shall be] one of the righteous!" 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
