Al-Shams

The Sun (Al-Shams)

15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By oath of the sun and its light 1 by the moon when it follows the sun, 2 The day when it reveals his radiance, 3 by the night when it covers the earth with darkness, 4 by the heavens and that (Power) which established them, 5 by the earth and Who spread it, 6 By the soul and Him Who propertioned it, 7 Then He showed him what is wrong for him and what is right for him; 8 He who nourishes it will surely be successful, 9 And he will indeed fail who corrupts it. 10 The Thamud denied (the truth) in their perverseness 11 When among them the great wretch arose, 12 But the Messenger of Allah said to them: "It is a She-camel of Allah! And (bar her not from) having her drink!" 13 But they rejected his statement as a lie and hamstrung the she-camel. For that crime their Lord rumbled down upon them, utterly razing them to the ground. 14 And He feared not the consequence thereof 15

God the Almighty always says the truth.
