Nay, and by the moon, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 a warning to humankind, 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens they will question 40 About the criminals, 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
