Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 A rope made from palm fibre around her neck! 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
