T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
