The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 Shu'ayb asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
