▼ 52 The Mountain
Al-Toor 2 of 2
(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Say: 'Wait if you will; I shall be waiting with you' 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Do they say: “He has himself fabricated the Qur'an?” No; the truth is that they are altogether averse to believing. 33 So let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful 34 Or were they created of themselves? Or are they the creators? 35 Created they the heavens and the earth! Aye! they will not be convinced. 36 Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord? Or have they been given charge (thereof)? 37 Or do they have any stairs, climbing upon which they eavesdrop? So their eavesdropper should bring some clear proof! 38 Or has He only daughters and ye have sons? 39 Or askest thou (Muhammad) a fee from them so that they are plunged in debt? 40 Or that the Ghaib (unseen) is with them, and they write it down? 41 Or are they planning a conspiracy? So the conspiracy will befall only upon the disbelievers. 42 Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him! 43 (So obstinate are they that) even if they were to see some fragments of the sky falling down they would still say: “It is only a mass of cloud.” 44 Therefore leave them, until they confront their day, in which they will be stunned. 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 Truly, for those who do wrong there is a punishment besides that, though most of them do not know it. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad) for thy Lord's decree, for surely thou art in Our sight; and hymn the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest, 48 and exalt Him in the night and at the declining of the stars. 49

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
