Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
