And when your Lord called to Moses, saying: 'Go to the harmdoing nation, 10 The folk of Pharaoh. Will they not ward off (evil)? 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me). 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 Said He: "Not so, indeed! Go forth, then, both of you, with Our messages: verily, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]! 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Fir'awn said: and what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 Fir'awn said unto those around him: hear ye not? 25 Moses continued, "He is the Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 (The Pharaoh) said: "If you took another god apart from me I will have you incarcerated." 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 Said he: Bring it then, if you are of the truthful ones. 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
