۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 in a hidden Book 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96
