The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, 2 The Compassionate, the Merciful. 3 King of the Day of Judgement. 4 Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help. 5 Show us the straight way, 6 The path of those whom You have favoured – Not the path of those who earned Your anger – nor of those who are astray. 7

God the Almighty always says the truth.
