The hypocrites and those whose hearts were perverted said, "These people [the believers] must be deluded by their religion." But he who places his trust in God [knows that], God is Almighty and Wise. 49 AND IF thou couldst but see [how it will be] when He causes those who are bent on denying the truth to die; the angels will strike their faces and their backs, and [will say]: "Taste suffering through fire 50 This is for that which your own hands have sent before (to the Judgment), and (know) that Allah is not a tyrant to His slaves. 51 "(Deeds) after the manner of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them: They rejected the Signs of Allah, and Allah punished them for their crimes: for Allah is Strong, and Strict in punishment: 52 This happened because Allah is not one to change the favour which He has bestowed upon a people until they have changed their attitude. Surely Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 53 [Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They denied the signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh. And all [of them] were wrongdoers. 54 Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are those who have disbelieved, and they will not [ever] believe - 55 those of them with whom thou hast made compact then they break their compact every time, not being godfearing. 56 Wherefore if thou over-takest them in war, disperse thou through them those behind them, that haply they may be admonished. 57 And if you fear treachery on the part of a people, then throw back to them on terms of equality; surely Allah does not love the treacherous. 58
