The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

ALIF LAM MIM. 1 This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil). 2 who believe in the Unseen, and perform the prayer, and expend of that We have provided them; 3 And who believe in that which has been revealed to you and that which was revealed before you and they are sure of the hereafter. 4 It is they who follow the guidance [which comes from their Sustainer]; and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state! 5 Those who disbelieve, whether you forewarn them or not, they will not believe. 6 God has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a covering, and there awaits them a mighty chastisement. 7
