O YOU who have attained to faith! Seek aid in steadfast patience and prayer: for, behold, God is with those who are patient in adversity. 153 Do not say that those who are killed in the way of God, are dead, for indeed they are alive, even though you are not aware. 154 And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast, 155 Who, when there afflicteth them an affliction, say: verily we are Allah's, and verily unto Him we are returners. 156 Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided. 157 ۞ Indeed Safa and Marwah are among the emblems of Allah: it is, therefore, no sin for him, who performs Hajj or `Umrah to the House of AIIah, to run between the two hills; and Allah knows and appreciates him who does any good with a willing heart. 158 Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the Scripture - those are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse, 159 Save those that repent and amend, and make manifest the truth; these it is toward whom I relent. And I am the Relenting, the Merciful! 160 Indeed upon those who disbelieved, and died as disbelievers, is the curse of Allah and of the angels and of men combined. 161 They will live condemned forever, will have no relief from the torment, and no attention will be paid to them. 162 Your God is one God; there is no god other than He, the compassionate, ever-merciful. 163
