He it is Who sends down water from the cloud for you; it gives drink, and by it (grow) the trees upon which you pasture. 10 He causes to grow for you thereby the crops, olives, palm trees, grapevines, and from all the fruits. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought. 11 He has made the night and the day and the sun and the moon subservient to you; and all the stars are subservient to His command. Surely in this there are signs for men of understanding. 12 And that which He has multiplied for you in the earth of diverse hues. Surely in that is a sign for a people who remember. 13 It is He who subjected to you the sea, that you may eat of it fresh flesh, and bring forth out of it ornaments for you to wear; and thou mayest see the ships cleaving through it; and that you may seek of His bounty, and so haply you will be thankful. 14 And He has cast great mountains in the earth lest it might be convulsed with you, and rivers and roads that you may go aright, 15 And landmarks; and they are guided by the star. 16 Is then He, Who creates as one who creates not? Will you not then remember? 17 If you count God's blessing, you will never number it; surely God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 18 God knows all that you conceal or reveal. 19 And those they invoke other than Allah create nothing, and they [themselves] are created. 20 (They are things) dead, lifeless: nor do they know when they will be raised up. 21
