And when your Lord called out to Musa, saying: Go to the unjust people, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 God said, "Indeed not; go both of you with Our signs, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]. 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 (The Pharaoh) said: "Did we not bring you up as a child? And you lived a number of years of your life with us. 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 He said: The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure. 24 Said [Pharaoh] unto those around him: "Did you hear [what he said]?" 25 Moses said: "(He is) Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers of yore." 26 (Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison." 29 and Moses asked, "Even if I show you a clear sign?" 30 [Pharaoh] answered: "Produce it, then, if thou art a man of truth!" 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
