And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 We gave preference to the Israelites over the other people with Our knowledge 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 So then, bring forth our forefathers [as witnesses,] if what you claim is true!" 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
