Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 can lure away from God any 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
