And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 Of what they used to do. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
