1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 And detain them, for they will be questioned." 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 Moreover, we had no power at all over you: nay, you were people filled with overweening arrogance! 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 Now certainly you shall be tasting the painful chastisement, 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 as the fruits [of their life on earth]; and honoured shall they be 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 And they will all turn to one another, asking each other [about their past lives]. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]. 57 What, do we then not die 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74
