The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 when their brother Lot said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 [Lot] exclaimed: "Behold, I am one of those who utterly abhor your doings!" 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
