Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 and produce sparks 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
