Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
