AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 and We cradled the earth. And We are the Best of Cradlers. 48 And of every thing We have created pairs, that haply ye may remember. 49 Flee, therefore, to Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him; 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Similarly, no messenger came to the Peoples before them, but they said (of him) in like manner, "A sorcerer, or one possessed"! 52 Have they handed this down from one to another? No, rather, they are an insolent nation. 53 So turn away from them: not thine is the blame. 54 But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers. 55 And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). 56 I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). 57 Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. 58 And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day). 59 Woe, then, betide those who disbelieved in that Day of theirs which they are being asked to hold in dread. 60
