Have not these who disbelieve considered that the heavens and the earth were closed up, then We rent them? And We have made of water everything living; will they not then believe? 30 And We have placed mountains as anchors in the earth so that it may not shake with them; and We kept wide roads in it, so that they may find guidance. 31 And We have made the sky a roof, protected; and they turn away from its signs. 32 And He it is Who has created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each in an orbit floating. 33 We appointed immortality for no mortal before thee. What! if thou diest, can they be immortal! 34 Every living being must taste death; and We test you with harm and with good – a trial; and to Us only you have to return. 35 (Muhammad), whenever the unbelievers see you, they think that you deserve nothing more than to be mocked. They say, "Is it he, (Muhammad), who speaks against your gods?" But they themselves have no faith at all in the Beneficent God. 36 Man is created of haste, I will show you My Ayat (torments, proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). So ask Me not to hasten (them). 37 They say: 'If you are truthful, when will this promise come' 38 If only the Unbelievers knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the fire from their faces, nor yet from their backs, and (when) no help can reach them! 39 Nay, but [the Last Hour] will come upon them of a sudden, and will stupefy them: and they will be unable to avert it, and neither wilt they be allowed any respite. 40 And assuredly mocked were the apostles before thee, then there surrounded those of them who scoffed that whereat they had been mocking! 41
