The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
