S (Saad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Sad. By the Qur'an full of admonition. 1 But the Unbelievers (are steeped) in self-glory and Separatism. 2 Many a generation We did destroy before them – thereupon they cried out whereas it is not the time to escape! 3 It seems strange to the pagans that a man from their own people should come to them as a Prophet. The unbelievers have said, "He is only a lying magician". 4 What, has he made the gods One God? This is indeed a wondrous thing' 5 And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)! 6 We have not heard of this in the latest religion. This is not but a fabrication. 7 What, out of all of us, has the Remembrance been sent down to him (Prophet Muhammad)' No, they are doubtful about My Remembrance, no, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or are theirs the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord, the Mighty, the Bestower? 9 Or, is theirs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Then let them ascend by (their) means! 10 They are only a small band among the defeated confederate tribes. 11 The folk of Noah before them denied (their messenger) and (so did the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh firmly planted, 12 and so did Thamud and the people of Lot and the people of Aykah. These were all leagued together. 13 not one [was there] but gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon My retribution fell due. 14
