Al-nahl 7 of 16

۞ Allah says: 'Do not take to yourself two gods. He is only One God; so have awe of Me' 51 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and earth; His is the religion for ever. Then will you fear other than God? 52 And whatsoever of favour is with you is from Allah; then when distress toucheth you, unto Him ye cry out. 53 Yet, when He removes the distress from you, behold! some of you turn to other gods to join with their Lord- 54 showing no gratitude for what We have given them. Enjoy yourselves awhile; but soon you will know! 55 They set aside a portion of the food We have given them for those they do not know. By God, you will surely have to answer for all you contrive! 56 And they assign daughters for Allah! - Glory be to Him! - and for themselves (sons,- the issue) they desire! 57 When news is brought to one of them, of (the birth of) a female (child), his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief! 58 He hides himself from the people because of the ill of which he has been informed. Should he keep it in humiliation or bury it in the ground? Unquestionably, evil is what they decide. 59 For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil similitude, and Allah's is the Sublime Similitude. He is the Mighty, the Wise. 60
