Verily Ibrahim was a pattern, devout unto Allah, upright, and, not of the associaters. 120 He showed his gratitude for the favours of Allah, who chose him, and guided him to a Straight Way. 121 And gave him what is good in the world, and in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous and the good. 122 We sent you, (Muhammad), a revelation that you should follow the tradition of Abraham, the upright one, who was not a pagan. 123 The Sabbath was made obligatory only upon those who differed in it; and indeed your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning the matter in which they differed. 124 CALL THOU [all mankind] unto thy Sustainer's path with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and argue with them in the most kindly manner - for, behold, thy Sustainer knows best as to who strays from His path, and best knows He as to who are the right-guided. 125 If you punish, let your punishment be proportionate to the punishment you received. But if you are patient, it is better for the patient. 126 And bear with patience, (O Muhammad) - and your patience is only because of the help of Allah - and do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed by their evil plans. 127 Lo! Allah is with those who keep their duty unto Him and those who are doers of good. 128
