Do not kill your children because you fear poverty. We will provide for you and them. Killing them is a great sin. 31 And go not nigh to fornication; surely it is an indecency and an evil way. 32 Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand qisas or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the Law). 33 And do not approach the property of an orphan, except in the way that is best, until he reaches maturity. And fulfill [every] commitment. Indeed, the commitment is ever [that about which one will be] questioned. 34 While weighing, use proper measurements in the exchange of your property. This is fair and will be better in the end. 35 Do not follow what you do not know; for the ear and the eye and the heart shall all be called to account. 36 And do not go about in the land exultingly, for you cannot cut through the earth nor reach the mountains in height. 37 All of that -- the wickedness of it is hateful in the sight of thy Lord has revealed to thee: 38 That is of the wisdom your Lord has revealed to you. Do not set up with Allah another god, or you will be cast into Gehenna, condemned and rejected. 39 HAS, THEN, your Sustainer distinguished you by [giving you] sons, and taken unto Himself daughters in the guise of angels? Verily, you are uttering a dreadful saying! 40
