Al-Isra 4 of 12
You shall not kill your offspring for fear of want. It is We who provide for them, and for you. Indeed, killing them is a great sin. 31 Nor come nigh to adultery: for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil, opening the road (to other evils). 32 And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right. And whoever is killed unjustly - We have given his heir authority, but let him not exceed limits in [the matter of] taking life. Indeed, he has been supported [by the law]. 33 And do not approach the property of the orphan save in the fairest manner, until he is of age. And fulfil the covenant; surely the covenant shall be questioned of. 34 And give full measure whenever you measure, and weigh with a balance that is true: this will be [for your own] good, and best in the end. 35 Do not follow what you do not know; the ears, eyes, and hearts will all be held responsible for their deeds. 36 Do not walk proudly on the earth; your feet cannot tear apart the earth nor are you as tall as the mountains. 37 The wickedness of all this is hateful with your Lord. 38 That is from what your Lord has revealed to you, [O Muhammad], of wisdom. And, [O mankind], do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity, lest you be thrown into Hell, blamed and banished. 39 HAS, THEN, your Sustainer distinguished you by [giving you] sons, and taken unto Himself daughters in the guise of angels? Verily, you are uttering a dreadful saying! 40

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
