They question you about the Spirit. Say, "The Spirit is at my Lord's command, and you have been granted but little knowledge." 85 And if We please, We should certainly take away that which We have revealed to you, then you would not find for it any protector against Us. 86 Unless your Lord have mercy. His blessings on you are great indeed. 87 Say: 'If men and jinn banded together to produce the like of this Koran, they would never produce its like, not though they backed one another.' 88 And We have explained to man, in this Qur'an, every kind of similitude: yet the greater part of men refuse (to receive it) except with ingratitude! 89 And they say: we shall by no means believe in thee until thou causest for us to gush forth from the earth a fountain. 90 or thou have a garden of date-palms and vines and cause rivers to gush forth in their midst in a sudden rush, 91 or cause the sky to fall into pieces on us - as you believe you can - or bring God and the angels face to face with us, 92 or thou have a house [made] of gold, or thou ascend to heaven - but nay, we would not [even] believe in thy ascension unless thou bring down to us [from heaven] a writing which we [ourselves] could read! Say thou, [O Prophet:] "Limitless in His glory is my Sustainer! Am I, then, aught but a mortal man, an apostle?" 93

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
