And says man, “When I am dead, will I soon be brought forth alive?” 66 Doth not man remember that We created him before, when he was naught? 67 By your Lord, We will surely muster them and the devils together. Then We will surely bring them all, on their knees, around Hell, 68 from every party We will pluck out whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the Most Merciful. 69 Moreover, We well know those who most deserve to be burned in hell. 70 There is not one of you who shall not go down to it: such is a thing decreed, determined by your Lord. 71 We will save the pious ones from the hell fire and leave the unjust people therein in crowded groups. 72 AS IT IS, whenever Our messages are conveyed to them in all their clarity, those who are bent on denying the truth are wont to say unto those who have attained to faith: "Which of the two kinds of man is in a stronger position and superior as a community?" 73 How many generations of greater prosperity and splendor have We destroyed before them? 74 Say: As for him who is in error, the Beneficent will verily prolong his span of life until, when they behold that which they were promised, whether it be punishment (in the world), or the Hour (of doom), they will know who is worse in position and who is weaker as an army. 75 God increases His guidance to those who follow guidance; and lasting good works are better in the sight of your Lord and are most rewarding. 76 Then, have you seen he who disbelieved in Our verses and said, "I will surely be given wealth and children [in the next life]?" 77 Has he penetrated to the Unseen, or has he taken a contract with (Allah) Most Gracious? 78 No, indeed! We shall assuredly write down all that he says, and We shall prolong for him the chastisement; 79 All that he speaks of will belong to Us, and he will come into Our presence all alone. 80 And they have chosen Gods besides Allah, so that they may provide them strength! 81 But nay! [On Judgment Day] these [very objects of adoration] will disavow the worship that was paid to them, and will turn against those [who had worshipped them]! 82
