ART THOU NOT aware that We have let loose all [manner of] satanic forces upon those who deny the truth - [forces] that impel them [towards sin] with strong impulsion? 83 So hasten thou not against them; We are only numbering for them a number. 84 and on the Day when We will ceremonially gather the righteous to the Merciful, 85 and drive those who were lost in sin unto hell as a thirsty herd is driven to a well 86 They will have no power of intercession, save him who hath made a covenant with his Lord. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 You have indeed brought an extremely grave speech! 89 The heavens may almost be rent thereat, and the earth cleave asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, 90 at their ascribing a son to the Most Compassionate Lord. 91 and it behoves not the All-merciful to take a son. 92 There is none in the heavens and earth except he comes to the Merciful as a worshiper. 93 Verily, He knows each one of them, and has counted them a full counting. 94 each one of them shall come to Him one by one on the Day of Judgement. 95 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection. 96 So We have only made it easy in your tongue that you may give good news thereby to those who guard (against evil) and warn thereby a vehemently contentious people. 97 And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound? 98
