Did you not see that We sent devils upon the disbelievers, so they excite them abundantly? 83 So take no hasty action against them; their days are numbered. 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 And We shall drive the sinners to Hell, like thirsty cattle driven down to water,- 86 They shall not own intercession, excepting those who have taken of the Compassionate a covenant. 87 As it is, some assert, "The Most Gracious has taken unto Himself a son 88 You have indeed brought an extremely grave speech! 89 the heavens might well-nigh burst thereat, and the earth break asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, 90 because they have ascribed a son to the Merciful. 91 And it does not befit the Most Gracious to choose an offspring! 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but comes before Ar-Rahman in all obedience. 93 He has counted them and calculated their number. 94 And each of them is to come to Him on the Day of Judgment alone. 95 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 How many generations have We laid low before them. Do you see any sign of them, or hear the least whisper of them? 98
