T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no god except Me. Worship Me, and establish the prayer of My remembrance. 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?" 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
