T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa: 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
