T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
