'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 Make my task easy 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
