He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 And ease my task for me; 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 And let him share my task 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 He said, “Do not fear – I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
