Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 And ease for me my task 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 And share my task, 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 and remember you often. 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 Eat, and graze your cattle; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 54
