[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 that they may understand my words. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 And let him share my task, 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 when thy sister went out, saying, "Shall I point you to one to have charge of him?" So We returned thee to thy mother that she might rejoice, and not sorrow. Then thou slewest; a living soul, and We delivered thee out of grief, and We tried thee with many trials. Many years among the people of Midian thou didst sojourn, then camest hither, Moses, according to a decree. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He said, “Do not fear – I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
